Ingredient highlight: What goes into our Eye-Fi Liner.

28 June, 2021 2 min read

Natural makeup has had some polarising press over the past few decades. Some folks think that just because they’re natural, these products won’t perform as well as their synthetic counterparts. Think again. Our latest launch of Eye-Fi Liners pack benchmark-busting, skin-loving results and it’s all thanks to their natural ingredients. Here’s a quick rundown on what goes into our latest liners and why they’re so powerful.

Profile: Jojoba Oil

What is it?

A wax-ester that mimics our skin’s oils. Pronounced, ho ho-bah.

Hydrates moisturises?

It moisturises and is light enough to penetrate the skin’s matrix. (Eat your heart out, Morpheus.)

Style or substance?

Substance - This oil protects your little lash follicles and promotes healthy eyelash growth.

Profile: Marula Oil

What is it?

Another lightweight skin-mimicking oil which soothes and softens skin.

Hydrates moisturises?

Both, it penetrates deep to restore hydration while warding off fine lines and wrinkles.

Style or substance?

Style (just check out that name). Jokes aside, this multi-tasker is all-substance. It seals in hydration, offers antioxidant protection, and even serves anti-inflammatory effects.

PRO TIP: Hydration vs. moisturisation

Substances which hydrate, help restore or replenish the depleted water content of your skin, whereas substances that moisturise seal-in and trap water beneath your skin.

Profile: Vitamin E

What is it?

A skin-healing, lipid barrier-sealing substance often served in oil or cream form.

Hydrates moisturises?

Both. This epic barrier-creating balm serves long-lasting, moisture retention for sustained hydration.

Style or substance?

Substance. This vitamin is a powerful hair hydrator and strengthener. So while it supports your skin, it adores your hair.

Profile: Shea Butter

What is it?

A dreamy ‘solid oil’ originally sourced from African shea (pronounced ‘shay’) tree nuts.

Hydrates moisturises?

A proven hydrator that’s rich in fatty acids, antioxidants, and anti-ageing benefits.

Style or substance?

Substance. This butter is great for keeping skin cool, calm and collected under heat, stress or drying conditions (think brisk winter breezes and harsh indoor heaters).
